J. Anne Campanile
Sweet Romance/Contemporary
J Anne (J.A.) Campanile was raised with a healthy love of classic literature and dreams of being “an author!” when she grew up. She primarily writes Y/A and adult romance, with the occasional side of horror/parody.
J Anne lives in the Rocky Mountains with her trusty companion parrots. When she’s not writing, she can be found at her day job sifting through mountains of data, in the library buried under a healthy stack of books, or binging Netflix and driving everyone else in the room crazy by analyzing the plot and story arcs out loud.

So good!!
This was so good. Loved the characters. It was fast paced and funny, a bit cheesy but really really good. 100% recommend if you love cheesy romance and a bit drama too. I could not put this down. I read without stopping. Even had a few laughs along the way. Will definitely read again.

Fantastic Adaption
I am thoroughly impressed with this book. The myriad of clever ways the author adapted Jane Austen's work always kept my interest, and Winter Darcy was a fantastic protagonist.
My only complaint is that it was too short and I don't have an entire set of modernized, gender-swapped, high-schoolified adaptations of Austen works written by this author. I would buy them all in a heartbeat.
Bravo
A different take, fresh and set in modern day. Darcy is the star here, awkward and smart, and still clueless. The genders are flipped. Lots of amusing quotes from the original that are slipped in deftly.
Pride and Poor Judgment
Tales from New London 1
Her pride, his prejudice, and astoundingly poor judgment.
Winter Darcy has her priorities straight: protect her best friend, reconnect with her brother, and survive senior year. Boyfriends? Crushes? Not in the plan. But life hasn’t cared about her plans in the past, so really, she should have expected the Bennet brothers. John is a threat to her best friend, Charlie’s, recovery. Elliot is Darcy’s personal stumbling block. And then there’s Darcy’s brother, who hasn’t spoken to her in months.
Her life is scattered, but her heart is in the right place. Fresh, funny, and achingly relatable, this gender-flipped Pride and Prejudice follows Darcy’s socially awkward exploits in love, friendship, heartache, and learning that she’s not always right.

Emmett
Tales from New London 2
Emmett Woodhouse, handsome, clever, and… a bit of an idiot.
Gigi Knightley’s life has revolved around Emmett Woodhouse, one way or another, since they were babies. As his best friend, confidant, and trusted advisor in the field of wing-manning, Gigi is by his side and ready to help. They’re always there for each other. They tell each other everything.
Except one thing: Gigi is determined to never admit that she’s in love with him. Why would she? He doesn’t date.
Emmett galivants through their social circles, matching couple after couple. Some pair perfectly together, but others… Well, Emmett lets his ego get in the way of true love a time or two. And he’s always been blind when it comes to Gigi.
Between the annoyingly perfect Jacob Fairfax, the enigmatic Frank Churchill, and the cunning Penelope Elton, Emmett’s heart is in the right place, but his head is easily distracted. Emmett and Gigi’s relationship will be tested again and again in this fresh, funny, heartfelt retelling of Jane Austen’s Emma.
