Alyssa Roberts’s principal form of rebellion when she was a child was reading via flashlight under the blankets. She was born in Vermont and grew up there and in Massachusetts. She now lives in Maryland with her husband. She can often be found writing novels and is still happily indulging in that old friend, reading, though she has upgraded from flashlights!

Fun Adventure!
This was such a fun book! I am not always super into romance, but the love connection in this is sweet and definitely not the over-the-top nonsense like in other romance novels. This had a lot of adventure and was a real page turner! It was also nice to read a woman writing about self reliance and courage. Definitely recommend this as great summer read!

Historic romance with a mysterious twist
I am not normally a romance reader, but this historical novel features a self-reliant woman protecting her son. A realistic level of affection, no sticky nonsense , all wrapped up in a believable mystery, make this an enjoyable read.
Sparks fly when Wolfe, a Royal Navy officer in disguise, stumbles upon Juliana, a duchess in hiding. Both have reasons for their deceptions--he's been unjustly accused, she's protecting her son. Looming threats push them to join forces to uncover the truth about those who mean them harm. I thoroughly enjoyed this historical romance and can't wait to read the next book by Alyssa Roberts.
