Chuck Walsh
Thriller
Chuck Walsh began writing in 2004 when he decided to create “something” to honor his mother after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. That “something” evolved into A Passage Back, a tale about a man who goes back in time to the days of his youth following the death of his mother. His passion for writing was born, and he has gone on to produce several novels.
His first published work occurred in 2006 when he co-authored a book entitled Faces of Freedom, featuring soldiers from each of the 50 states who died while fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan. In 2012 his fiction novel, A Month of Tomorrows, was released. It was picked up and re-released in June 2014, where it rose to #6 on Amazon's Best Seller list for Historical Fiction. In September 2014 his murder/suspense, Shadows on Iron Mountain, was released. Its sequel, Backwoods Justice, was released in February 2015. In July 2015, A Splintered Dream, a comeback story about a man overcoming incredible odds to be a pro baseball player, was released. And in November, 2015, A Passage Back, the book that ignited Walsh’s love for writing, was released.
His sixth book, Black Mingo Creek, a murder/suspense that takes place in the swamps of the Lowcountry of South Carolina, will be released in the spring of 2018.
Walsh was born and raised in Columbia, SC, though he is a frequent visitor to the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee, the setting for Shadows on Iron Mountain and Backwoods Justice, and homeland to his parents and grandparents. Please visit Walsh’s website at chuckwalshwriter.com

Action packed
I really liked this book, it was interesting and action packed from page 1 all the way to the end. I've read all of Chuck's books and they are all good. That's all I've got, I'm not a writer :-)

Must read
Black Mingo Creek is a page turner. It puts you in the swamp along with Mason, where the swamp is Mason's protector and provider.
Black Mingo Creek takes you right into the swamp and keeps you there to the end. It is frightening, but also has you hoping for redemption in the end.
Black Mingo Creek
Standalone
Mason Mims has taken refuge in the swamps of the Carolina Lowcountry. Suspected of killing his brother’s family, Mims, a former Navy Seal, uses that black water region to shield him from the authorities. Meanwhile, a body count begins to mount along the landscape of cypress trees and Spanish Moss. Though law enforcement combs the swamp, they are no match for Mims, who knows the land as though he was at God’s elbow when it was designed.
Police Chief Willie Bartlett leads the manhunt for Mims, and he wants state and county law enforcement to take Mims down and leave as quickly as possible before they uncover the crookedness that runs deep in the Cookeville Police force. Special Agent Jack Swanson senses there’s more to the story than hunting a man who’s killed his brother’s family.
With Mims slipping in and out of the swamp, and the death toll rising, a select group of men realize they have unleashed the beast in a man who has nothing left to live for, and who possesses a skill set making him virtually unstoppable. From bestselling author Chuck Walsh, this murder/suspense story, deep in both prose and character development, shows there’s no limit to what a man will do when pushed over the edge.
